The Melbourne Money Expo hits town on the 18 th and 19 th of August at Melbourne Park Function Centre, Melbourne and Olympic Park.
10 Million dollars of coin, medal and banknote rarities will be on display from ANDA Members local clubs, associations, dealers and auction houses.
On display will be two of the finest known examples of Australia’s Colonial history and first ever Australian silver coins, the famous Holey Dollar and Dump.
Commissioned by Governor Macquarie in 1813, ironically these special coins were designed by a convict on Her Majesty’s pleasure for you guessed it …….. forgery.
This Holey Dollar and Dump is a significant part of our Colonial history and are some of the best know examples outside of a museum, not to be missed.
Got a question or curious about the value of a special coin or some old money you have or would like to sell, then just bring it along for specialist advice from one of our many qualified members. It’s like ANDA’s own ROAD SHOW.
Just for the kids there will be the 5 CENT FORAGE and a 2 CENT CHALLENGE.
The aim of the game is to start off with a huge pile of coins and attempt to collect all the coins ever issued until you have one from every year. Loads of fun for the kids and FREE!
Entry is just a gold coin donation and the show starts at 10am till 4pm on Saturday and 10am till 3pm Sunday.
